PRECISION SOIL ANALYSING:
Soil variations within farm lands
can lead to inefficiencies if no allowances are made for them.
Ideally, different soil types
require different management techniques, and years of blanket fertilizer
treatments within lands often create imbalances.
The aim is to define soil
nutrient zones so that they can be managed individually.
This step is very important to know what the status of your soil is.
Big savings are possible, because you will know exactly what your soil needs
are
for optimal production.
Saving on Lime is possible, because you add Lime (the right type and tons) on
the areas that the pH (Kcl) is lower than 5.3.
We take the soil samples on a grid of 1 Ha. It is the most effective grid to
use as the soil in South Africa differs a lot in micro elements and it is
not recommended to start Precision soil analysis on a bigger grid.
We take a sample 30cm deep
(mixed) in between plant rows.
We analyze for pH, P Bray 1; K; Ca; Mg; Na%; Clay %( Finger test) and Acid
Saturation%.
We give recommendations on
Lime; Supers and Kcl50.
An Unbiased or impartial fertilizing recommendation is given from our
Agriculturist.
Included:
Soil sampling 1 Ha Grid
Soil annalist from SGS / Nvirolab (farmers choice)
